6 Best Patio Margaritas in Fort Worth (+ My Go-To At-Home Recipe)
If you're looking for the best margaritas in Fort Worth with a patio, you're in the right place. Whether it’s a Friday night with friends or a sunny afternoon you want to stretch a little longer, Fort Worth has some amazing spots to sip a cold margarita outside.
Below are my favorite go-to places with great patios and even better margs—plus my easy at-home recipe if you’re hosting or just staying in.
1. Joe T. Garcia’s – Best Classic Patio in Fort Worth
Joe T’s is a Fort Worth institution. The patio is huge and filled with greenery, fountains, string lights, and long tables that are perfect for groups. The margaritas are strong and simple—just how they should be—and the chips and salsa don’t stop.
Heads up: Joe T’s is cash only. They do have ATMs on-site, but it’s worth planning ahead.
What to order: Chicken/Beef fajitas or cheese enchiladas with a classic margarita on the rocks Why I love it: Legendary patio, big portions, fast service
2. Birdie’s Social Club – Best for Frozen Margaritas & Fun Vibes
Birdie’s is bright, colorful, and built for fun. Their margaritas are refreshing without being too sweet, and you can get them with tajín, salt or sugar on the rim . The music, open seating, and bar games make it perfect for an afternoon hangout.
What to order: Frozen margarita + chips, queso and quesodillos Why I love it: Fun atmosphere, great for groups, and very Instagram -friendly
3. Salsa Limón (River District) – Best Spicy Margarita in Fort Worth
If you like a little kick in your cocktail, Salsa Limón is your spot. Their “Chilango” margarita has fresh jalapeño and just enough heat. The patio has a cool modern vibe, and the tacos are always solid.
What to order: Chilango margarita + street tacos Why I love it: Spice, good music, and an easy laid-back setting
4. Tinie’s – Best Rooftop Patio for Date Night
Tinie’s has one of the best rooftop patios in Fort Worth. It’s small but has beautiful views and a more relaxed vibe than your typical rooftop bar. Their margaritas are perfectly balanced and not overly sweet.
What to order: Margarita with aguachile or carnitas tacos Why I love it: Rooftop views, great cocktails, and an elevated feel
5. Maestros – Best Tajín-Rim Margarita
Maestros is a hidden gem that never disappoints. Their margaritas come with a tajín rim and pack a punch. The patio is smaller but cozy, and the food is seriously good—especially the birria tacos.
What to order: Tajín-rimmed margarita + birria tacos Why I love it: Intimate setting and some of the best taco + marg combos in town
6. Branch & Bird – Best Rooftop View in Fort Worth
Branch & Bird is located on the 12th floor downtown, so the views are reason enough to visit. Their margaritas lean more classic and are on the pricier side, but the setting makes it totally worth it—especially around sunset.
What to order: Classic margarita + flatbread or charcuterie Why I love it: Skyline views, perfect for a nicer night out
At-Home Margarita Nights with Friends
Some of my favorite margarita moments actually happen at home. My girlfriends and I will make a big pitcher, throw together a few snacks, and settle in for one of those long, unfiltered, laugh-till-you-cry kind of nights.
We got the idea from Sweet Magnolias—they call it “Pour It Out”—and now it’s kind of our thing. No patio required.
My Go-To Easy At-Home Margarita Recipe
If you're staying in, this recipe is perfect. It’s quick, only a few ingredients, and it makes enough for a small group.
Ingredients:
1 bottle of sparkling limeade (Trader Joe’s or Simply brand)
1 to 1½ cups tequila
½ cup triple sec or orange liqueur
Juice of 2 limes
Tajín or salt for the rim
Instructions:
Mix everything in a pitcher and chill until ready to serve. Pour over ice, rim your glass if you’re feeling fancy, and garnish with lime wheels.
Pro tip: Keep a pitcher in the fridge. You never know when someone’s going to need to vent.
What to Serve with It
Here’s what I usually pair with my at-home margarita nights:
Snacks:
Tortilla chips + Natasha’s Kitchen guacamole
Elote dip or fresh salsa from Trader Joe’s
Mango with tajín and lime juice
Something more filling:
Chicken or beef tacos
Taco salad with lime crema
Nachos with beans and hot & sweet jalapeños from Trader Joe’s
